In recent years, meditation has become increasingly popular, with everyone from celebrities to CEOs touting its benefits. Nowadays it’s trending topic and the way to impress public at large. But is meditation just a passing trend, or is there something more to this ancient practice?
While it’s true that meditation has become more popular in recent years. However, the practice itself has been around for thousands of years. In fact, meditation has been a part of many different cultures and traditions, including Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism. It’s only in the past few decades that meditation has gained popularity in the West, as more and more people are discovering the benefits of this ancient practice.
So why does meditation become so popular in recent years? One reason may be the increasing pace of modern lifestyle thereby increasing stress. Meditation offers a way to slow down, focus on the present moment, and calm our minds. It’s a simple yet powerful tool for managing stress and improving our overall well-being.
Another reason for the popularity of meditation may be the growing body of scientific research supporting its benefits. Studies have shown that meditation can reduce stress, improve sleep, boost immune function, and even change the structure of our brains. As more research is conducted, it’s likely that we will discover even more benefits of this ancient practice.
Despite its growing popularity, some people still view meditation as a new fad, a passing trend that will eventually fade away. However, given the long history of meditation and the growing body of scientific evidence supporting its benefits, it’s unlikely that meditation will simply disappear. Instead, it seems that meditation is here to stay, as more and more people discover its transformative power to reach their absolute/higher state.
In conclusion, while it’s true that meditation has become more popular in recent years but with its long history and growing body of scientific research supporting its benefits, meditation will stay till the existence of human kind.
What do you think, meditation is only for reducing stress, improve sleep, boost immune function? Or Meditation is beyond all these thing?

Thank You !!
I think that meditation has been there for years with our ancestors and now with us. It’s just that it has got more visibility now due to the advent of media.
On an individual level, meditation is connecting with oneself and becoming more self aware.
Correct, earlier people were not much aware about, particularly how to do it. Very few people knew about it in past.
Meditation is not new fad it was there from longtime.Nowadays we humans deal with lot of stress and anxiety so to cope up and manage our emotional as well as for mental well being meditation plays important role.Youth find this fascinating because there favourite stars or even influencers who are having a impact on them promote this things.Even UN and the one who are working on SDG goals are massively promoting the importance of meditation.
